Shoreham was able to send two U11 teams away on tour to the Brean Sands Hornets Rugby Festival this year along with teams from the U9, U10 & U14 sides.

Whilst all the rugby games only took place on the Sunday, attendees easily managed to entertain themselves for the rest of the weekend with fun filled activities such as the beach, the pool, the funfair and the arcades at the Holiday Resort Unity.

On Saturday evening, all age groups came together for an offering of cheeseburgers and hotdogs, whilst some members of the U14 team decided to open a pop-up barbers…

On the Sunday, Shoreham’s two U11 teams faced off against each other in the first fixture and appeared to be evenly matched having managed to get the ball across the line an equal number of times each.

Further matches saw each team take on teams from both England and Wales, some of whom proved to be tough opponents for the Shoreham U11s. However even in the face of adversity the Shoreham U11s held true to the core values of rugby and fair play.

The tour finished on Monday with a number of Shoreham attendees descending on a local cafe in a sea of yellow for a spot of breakfast/coffee before heading off back to Sussex.
