Shoreham u12 travelled to Worthing to face their local rivals.
The match was a fully committed affair in heavy conditions. Shoreham managed to both attack with their direct forwards and to get the ball wider for the backs.
An even first half ended 1-1 with a try for Paul Pattenden. The second half saw Shoreham again pushing their opponents all the way and regularly turning over the ball with superb rucking.
The forwards excellent work was rewarded with a try for Louie Stillman, and deep into the match Shoreham secured the win with a try for Mattias Woollard.
Most impressive was two spells of defence by Shoreham when Worthing pushed to score. Committed tackling, and strong teamwork on their own line by Shoreham kept their hosts out despite repeated efforts. The 3-1 win was just reward for an excellent performance by Shoreham.
