Shoreham travelled to Steyning to face Norfolk arms in the first league game between the two sides over 5 years.
Straight from the kick off Shoreham put the pressure on Norfolk forcing a knock on after a couple of phases. From the resulting scrum, Shoreham won a penalty, with Norfolk forced to stand up after a strong shove by the Shoreham pack. Shoreham chose to kick to the corner, and set up a rolling maul from the line out, with Mark Lavery at the back of the maul, he peeled away and scored near the corner to put Shoreham 5-0 within 3 minutes.
As the first half wore on, Shoreham kept the scoreboard ticking over with 2 tries from Winger Billy Wright. However for all of Shoreham's good work they kept letting Norfolk back into the game through sloppy defending.
Into the second half and Norfolk started the better, scoring 2 tries in quick succession. However Shoreham closed out the win with ease, winning back the ball from almost every Norfolk scrum and scoring 5 more tries to win 51-27.
